Organic farming company De Terp from the Netherlands has been active in organic farming since 1984. It once started as a small organic horticultural company on just one hectare, but has now grown into a fully-fledged mixed company of ninety hectares. De Terp can rightly be counted among the pioneering companies in the industry with an almost closed cycle of raw materials, feed and manure, and a nice balanced distribution between arable land, grassland, pumpkin land, forest and livestock. De Terp is a mixed organic farm, it is active in both arable farming and livestock farming. The driving force behind the company is Jeroen Robbers, who started an arable farm in 1984 from scratch, but with a lot of idealism, which would eventually grow into the successful company it is today with a market leader position in processing pumpkins. De Terp Squashpackers is the most important supplier of pumpkins for the supermarket Albert Heijn and nowadays handles both import and export.
