Galson Energy Limited (GEL) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Sminig Energy Society Limited, a community benefit society. Profits from the community owned turbines are passed to Galson Estate Trust (Urras Oighreachd Ghabhsainn) which manages
the surrounding community owned estate. GEL's initiative is one of a number of projects carried out under the auspices of the Trust to provide financial stability for the local community as well as additional funds for investment in local projects.
